Va' Sentiero on Sentiero della Pace

There is a constant presence of remnants of the First World War, with ledges, trenches, memorial plaques and military forts scattered all along the route

Walking on trails of great historical importance, but at the same time enjoying the natural and cultural beauty. This is the thrill one feels on the Sentiero della Pace (Peace Path), a 520 km trail that connects the Tonale Pass to the Marmolada, in Trentino, and links many places and localities along the ideal line of the Italian-Austrian front of the First World War in a single track. The team of Va' Sentiero are crossing it in these weeks to verify the trail and create awareness among the local communities.
"Starting from the Tonale Pass," Sara Furlanetto tells us, "during the first 5/6 stages, we crossed the western end of the Adamello park, which is full of stimuli: from the view of the Lobbie glaciers to the waters of the Val di Genova, the Carè Alto stony ground and the dense forests of the Valli Giudicarie. From here, the environment began to change and we entered the Ledrensi Alps, limestone appeared on Monte Corona, and we ventured along the ridges of Monte Cadria to then descend to Riva del Garda. There is a constant presence of remnants of the First World War, with ledges, trenches, memorial plaques and military forts scattered all along the route".

The expedition, realised in collaboration with Montura, was sponsored by the Trentino Marketing territorial promotion agency.
